Trying to keep hope alive - our local Jamba has a service where you can call (and perhaps email or text, too? I've never actually tried this) and place your order with a time for pickup, and when you pull up in front of the store, they'll bring your smoothie out to the curb. Not drive-thru, but practically drive-by...
I'm still waiting for the return of kosmo.com where funky bike messengers deliver movies, magazines, and ben&jerry's. I think it could work in the right town with the right business plan.
