I have a vision of myself as an angel of mercy to those unfortunate souls that should have to follow in my footsteps, passing out rolls of super-plush, mutiply, cottony-thick toilet paper to the patients on the GI surgical floor...
Seriously, that econorific Scott nonsense makes a post-takedown backside scream bloody murder.
And so I go...

I'm thinking about you. You know if every day is better than the last one, we should all be excited about tomorrow.
Use wet baby wipes--huge huge difference. Just don't flush them or you'll be calling the rotorooter too often.
Ok here is what I have heard: 1. Use charmin in the blue package. 2. Dab don't wipe. 3. Use a squeeze bottle or spray bottle with water to fully cleanse the area, then dab. :)
And, as if you need additional advice, there are flushable moist baby wipes on the market, though I cannot recall the brand at this time. As I recall, showers can be quite painful when that area is not happy... makes you think that the French have the right idea with the whole bidet setup, eh?
Honestly though, I am so glad to read that things are progressing "normally" and hope that they progress quickly as well.
Thinking of you and sending good vibes your way!
oh, i have long since banned those Scott rolls from our house, which was a dagger in the costco-loving heart of 1F. but, yeah, toddler connor and i have blessedly discovered those flushable baby wipes. got them at the despised babies-r-us. i think huggies made them, but we got the generic "especially for kids." they have some crazy scent like "blue melon splash."
if you did some tv-watching saturday, i am delighted our Irish could provide you with a few joyful hours! sounds like you are feeling better! XO, trager
Thanks for all the wipe advice, guys. The good news is I'd already laid in supplied early this year when we had 2007 FSA funds left over that needed spending.
And Trager--Nothing kills the pain better than a relatively unugly ND win! Except maybe an ND win with a Zahm tailgater as an appetizer... ;)
