Snapshot From the Frozen Tundra

It was so cold this morning...

("How cold was it?")

...that my car door wouldn't latch shut and I had to drive my stick-shift car to treatment holding the door closed the whole way.

Fortunately, it had rectified itself by the time I had to drive home.

Just another day in Southern Canada.

Cheesehead PS: Go Pack!

You pluggin' yer car in at night? No? Well that's yer problem right there, Mam. See, I grew up in Minnesota, so I know a thing or two 'bout cold weather and cars. Gotta run the old extension cord from the house to the car over night. What's that? How does the pluggin'-in keep the door latches from freezin' up over night? No, yeah it don't. Yer gonna have to go ahead and hold the door shut while yer drivin'. Glad I could help.

Crazy--I was wondering what that plug + cord were for...
